Variety with Unmatched Performance
Backhaul antennas are used to connect two fixed points with a high bandwidth connection. Typical antennas used are solid dish or high gain wire grid. Wire grid antennas have a very low wind loading so they put less stress on a tower and are also lower cost. Solid dish antennas have better front-to-back ratios and higher gain.
Laird Technologies offers a variety of backhaul antennas with unmatched performance including the 5 GHz Wideband Solid Dish antenna, the 5 GHz Wideband Grid Dish antenna, the 3.5 GHz Solid Dish antenna and the 3.5 GHz Grid Dish antenna.
Typical links are anywhere from less than one mile to over thirty miles with high gain and tight beamwidths that prevent interference and allow for longer links. Dual polarity offers higher bandwidths in a polarity diversity system and wideband performance offer higher bandwidth in wideband multi-channel systems. Very good front-to-back ratios, minimizing interference.
