Laird Technologies offers a robust and diverse product offering of WLAN (Wireless Local Area Network) antennas that fit any purpose including Access Point (AP) and Client applications.

These antennas are designed and optimized for special WLAN system requirements with patterns that are uniform, well-controlled, repeatable, and predictable. Consistent, reliable manufacturing means each WLAN antenna performs as expected every time. In addition, special beam-shaping is implemented to enhance performance in indoor environments. Spatial and polarization antennas reduce the effect of multipath (reflections), with multi- and wide-band antennas available. They operate in a variety of frequencies and can be omni-directional or directional.

WLAN indoor antennas have a uniformity of pattern wireless signal, multi-band operation, spatial and polarization diversity, small and aesthetic packaging, multiple connector choices, as well as UL plenum-rated cable and materials. MIMO antennas are also available.

WLAN outdoor antennas are high-gain, weatherproof and UV protected, with plated metal components to prevent corrosion. They are available in pigtail, direct-mount, pole-mount, wall-mount, and gimbal-mount versions.

WLAN AP antennas include a phased array that is also mast mounted, creating a mesh network; while WLAN client antennas are fixed-point wireless antennas for mounting on a house or building.

Typical WLAN antenna applications include enterprise 802.11a coverage, broadband Internet access, and in-building wireless.
